Each hymn has been arranged to provide a simple, accessible accompaniment while still supporting congregational singing. The goal is not to create a performance arrangement, but to help pianists confidently accompany familiar hymns in worship.

Why This Hymnal is Different
Each hymn includes:
- A single-note melody in the right hand
- Full hymn lyrics
- Simple chord symbols on their own staff-no bass clef reading required!
The melody is written without key signatures. Instead, any sharps or flats appear directly in the music where they occur. This makes the hymns easier to read for pianists who are still becoming comfortable with different key signatures.
Rather than playing full chords, this book uses open fifths, which are played using the root note and the fifth of the chord. Open fifths create a full, supportive sound while requiring fewer notes and less hand movement than traditional chords.

- C chord = C and G (finger 5 on C, finger 1 on G)
- G chord = G and D
- D chord = D and A
- F chord = F and C
You do not need to play every note perfectly. A simple accompaniment,
